World Cancer Day

Still not dead yet

Today is February 4, 2026 World Cancer Day.
A very good day to finally get back to this web based project which I abandoned back in 2020. No apologies because although the project screeched to a halt I did not. I got to living and I have been busy not dying ever since. I was determined to prove my oncologist wrong when they told me the breast cancer had spread to my lungs, that there was no cure and the prognosis was two years. I have had miracles come true in my life before so from the beginning I believed I would live past the two years. And here I am eight years later; not dead yet and very much still alive.

My reasons for staring this project have morphed over the years. I lost interest right away as I got caught up in treatment and side effects and trying hard to adjust to the life of a cancer patient. I am not really sure what not dead yet is all about. I only know I needed a space or a container to place all things cancer related so I have kept this site.

Back to World Cancer Day. What I would want people to know about cancer is that a stage four cancer diagnosis no longer has to be a death sentence.
